A TIME TO REFLECT

A TIME FOR EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN
Seasons, there seems to be one for everything, some are short, some seem to last too long.
Expectancy, a young child expecting adults to provide, a parent waiting for their unborn child, a loved on returning.
Trust, it's out of your hands, but you allow it
Apathy, losing the desire to do or be anything
Happiness, bubbling out of you-everything is good.
Contentment, being at peace with yourself-knowing you've done or are doing enough
Anger, feeling let down, disappointed, feeling bitter, wanting to hurt or punish someone
Sadness, it hurts so much or seeing someone else hurting, or something ruined
Acceptance, knowing you can't change it.
Emptiness, there's a void, an ache, a need
Hope, being certain of something that is not yet
Anxiety, you think of the problems and conseqences of the problems before they've occured, or the past comes back into your thoughts and transports you back into that bad place.
Love, that person that makes your heart flutter, your newborn child, your parents, siblings and close friends.
Desolation, all you've wanted and dreamed of pulled down, taken away, ruined
Yearning, all that desire and the wait seems endless
Hatred, the person that took your liberty, took your loved ones' liberty
Euphoria, being alone with God
Trust,only Jesus
Mystification, it's not possible, you cannot be experiencing this yet you are

When I walk on the sea shore, feeling the wind or breeze watching the horizon with the sun blazing, or the clouds scudding by I realise how small I am and how big the universe is. Beyond that, well beyond that, who knows for sure.

Wise and learned people have for centuries lusted after the knowledge and experience that is beyond our 'normal' sphere of being. Some have faith in a creator God or gods, some have belief in a cosmic accident, a fluke of atomic matter, some only believe what they can see and experience. For millennia many cultures have explored our humanness, our limits, our minds, our trancendental abilities. And by far more people on the planet believe we carry on beyond the limits of this present body when it dies, than don't. Why?

There seems to be one constant that has no season. Mans' desire for the knowledge and certainty of life after or no life after death.

Maybe that would suggest that this life on this planet in it's entirety is a season!
